2. Project Goals
To verify that the TV is outputting the correct IR signals.
Test the signal output from the IR blaster using a C++ base program
Deliver lab test gear package for Toshiba with software and operational manual

3. Signal Flow Remote control sends signal to TV
TV sends square wave signal to other devices
For this project, we are only interested in the signal from TV to other devices

8. Remote Control vs. IR Blaster
- Receives inputs from user
- Sends IR signal to TV
- IR signal in only one encoding format
- Held by user

- Receives inputs from TV
- Sends IR signal to other devices
- IR signal in various encoding formats, depends on receiving device’s brand
- Placed in front of receiving device’s sensor
