Executive Summary People are often trying to find ways to get the most out of their money, especially when they are looking for a cheap but good meal to eat. For this study, we chose to evaluate a popular product that many different fast food restaurants had in common: a cheeseburger. We evaluated four different cheeseburgers from these four popular fast food restaurants in the DFW metroplex: Five Guys Burgers and Fries In-N-Out Burger Mooyah Whataburger Whataburger’s strong performance throughout the evaluation process led us to conclude that it is the best option for a satisfying cheeseburger experience.
3
Methods for Evaluation
The following parameters were chosen for evaluating the cheeseburgers: Overall Presentation of Cheeseburger Customization Options Speed of Service Taste Price The cheeseburgers were rated on a scale of 1-5. The lowest rating is 1 and the highest rating is 5. The ratings for each cheeseburger will be added together and divided by five to yield an average overall score. The brand with the highest average rating has the best cheeseburger.
4
Methods for Evaluation
We setup the evaluation process as follows: Go to the restaurant during the 12 p.m to 1 p.m. lunch hour. Order a double-patty cheeseburger and start timing. Record the price paid while waiting for the order. Note the toppings available for customizing a burger. Stop timing when the order is received. Evaluate the presentation of the burger as compared to the advertisement. Ask 10 patrons at each location to rate the taste of their cheeseburger.
