September 2002 The Beacon Element Simply indicates to the BSS when to keep quiet and for how long. .15 will own the definition and specification Becomes a .15 recommended practice that the vendors can implement if they want to accommodate this problem. .11 need only specify the beacon element number reserved for this purpose. September 2002 The New Motion To direct the WG ANA (assigned numbers authority) to reserve a specific element ID for use by the TG2 working group under the rules established for the ANA. This element be called the “ Co-existence Element”.
