Stanford - 1982 Atom radiates energy as electrons move in orbitals.
9/20/2018 1:03 AM Stanford Atom radiates energy as electrons move in orbitals. An equal pulse of energy is added from the ZPE. This is the way atoms always maintain their quantum energy state and don’t collapse. © 2007 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved. Law of Conservation of energy
Energy cannot be created or destroyed, but can be altered from one form to another.
5
Our measurements show ZPE is increasing
Schrodinger Equation – Wave function Liquid helium retains kinetic energy and does not freeze regardless of temperature due to zero-point energy. When cooled below its Lambda point, it exhibits properties of superfluidity Zero-point radiation continually imparts random impulses on an electron, so that it never comes to a complete stop. Zero-point radiation gives the oscillator an average energy equal to the frequency of oscillation multiplied by one-half of Planck's constant
6
So how do we measure ZPE? Using the method Schrodinger developed to measure frequency of oscillations of energy using his famous equation……. And of course his cat!
7
Total energy must remain the same.
If ZPE is increasing and the Law of Conservation of energy is true, then something else has to decrease. Total energy must remain the same.
