Variety of Network Service
Carrier’s business is changing Flexible, easy to orchestrate, diverse of network services are key points for Carrier’s revenue growing. Scenario Enterprise A has the following networking requirements:
Beijing Xi’an Guangzhou Customer OAM Product Enterprise A has the following networking requirements: Connecting three sites physically located separately with specific bandwidth guarantee. Blocking specific traffic from target CFN (Customer Facing Node) in case of traffic congestion. Redirecting all the traffic to Internet to DPI server and logging. Migrating non-VIP traffic from overloading connection to lightweight ones. Page 5 HUAWEI TECHNOLOGIES CO., LTD.

Constitutions of a SDN service
Network Service Multiple site connecting service template with SLA guarantee. …… Network Operation CRUD for network object management, such as lifecycle, property, attributes, etc. Allowing/Denying specific traffic flow. Redirecting specific traffic to FW. Changing QoS bandwidth for specific flow Network Object Sites physically located separately. VAS nodes, such as FW, DDoS, etc. Specific traffic flow packets. Connection between CONs. Page 6 HUAWEI TECHNOLOGIES CO., LTD.

Carrier’s SDN service Case 1, BoD (Bandwidth on Demand)
Enterprise B needs a connection between branch headquarter offices. There will be a requirement of adjusting the bandwidth of the connection on demand. The adjustment can be triggered when "conditions" meet. For example, the bandwidth will be adjusted by the timing condition meets. At night, less bandwidth is required for backup traffic. The bandwidth adjustment can also be triggered by traffic bursting. This use case can also be generalized to more resource reservation policies. WAN Branch Headquarter Condition: From 8am To 6pm Bandwidth: 10G Condition: From 6pm To 8am Bandwidth: 1G Page 7 HUAWEI TECHNOLOGIES CO., LTD.

Carrier’s SDN service Case 2, DC/WAN Interconnection
WAN/DC Interconnection Enterprise C wants to inter-connect their multiple sites with layer 2/3 connections. The basic connection types include: P2P (Point to Point), P2MP (Point to Multi-Point), and the Full Mesh. It is also desired that the user can construct the topology freely by composing the basic connection types. Carrier’s SDN service Case 3, VPC (Virtual Private Cloud)
Carrier/Operator provides VPC service for enterprises. A typical architecture is to allocate two zones in the VPC for security consideration. DMZ provides http/ /video services for access from internet. Interior provides compute and storage resources for internal use. Internet access cannot reach the interior. User can also describe connectivity to exterior, i.e. the internet or existing site. DMZ Interior Internet VPC Page 9 HUAWEI TECHNOLOGIES CO., LTD.
10
Carrier’s SDN service Case 4, Hybrid Cloud
Hybrid cloud is a typical cloud configuration for enterprises to combine the existing site and new virtual private cloud in a public cloud center. This use case is a combination of inter- connection between VPC, data center inter-connection, SFC and BoD. Use case Requirements: For secularity issue, the vPC is separated into two zones, DMZ and Interior. All the traffic from/to Internet via DMZ should go through LB and FW. On demand adjustment of bandwidth between Enterprise site and VPC for cloud bursting, backup, etc. Requirements for SFC, or traffic steering among VAS is within the scope of Ad Hoc on NFV in TOSCA. Gaps between SDN Service requirements and TOSCA

Scope and outputs for the proposal
Problem description: Carriers need an easy and fast way to customize and develop network service through the orchestration/composition of abstracted network resources/functionalities, thus meeting the time-to- market, diverse, and innovating technique deploying requirements. Target User: Network service designer, or developer for service provisioning What needed to be done: Fulfill the gaps between TOSCA and SDN service requirements Possible outputs: Network resources, functionalities abstraction models. Network service templates targeted for commonly used scenarios. Methods of the orchestration/composition for service template generating. Target User of Deliverables: Network service designer, or developer for service provisioning. Cooperation with other SDOs (such as ONF, MEF, etc.) in related fields. Scope difference analysis with NFV Ad Hoc
The proposal focus on: Carrier grade network service construction, orchestration and composition, which is composed of network objects and network operations. This would include: Network object, CFN (may be host, Layer 2/3 group, external group out of control, ECMP/UCMP LB, DDoS cleaner, CDN cache server, etc.), Connection (may be of different types, such as P2P, P2MP, Mesh), ServiceFlow (may be different kind of packets for various services, such as VOIP, SIP, HTTP, VLC, etc. ). Network operation, this would be allow, deny, go-through, SLA guarantee, traffic migrating and steering, traffic isolation, etc. CRUD operations for lifecycle management. NFV Ad Hoc focus on: NFV provides network service by dynamic methods to control how network functions are interconnected and how traffic is routed across those connections between the various network functions. NFV service focus mainly on the connection, topology of VNFs, and forwarding graphs that specify how packets are forwarded between VNFs. Fulfill all the gaps between TOSCA and NFV Introducing NFV specific new node types Examples for NSD, VNFD, VDU, VLD and VNF forwarding graph using TOSCA Page 14 HUAWEI TECHNOLOGIES CO., LTD.
