2. Grading Scale & Supply List
1 braded folder with pockets
2 pencils
1 pen
15 sheets on notebook paper
$35 annual art fee
Projects 60% Graded on effort
Daily & Quizzes 40%

3. Homework and Quizzes I almost never assign homework.
A student may want to voluntarily research info.
A student may need to take a project home to complete it.
Art quizzes are scheduled for Monday and Thursday. All the quizzes come directly from their notes.
I review them for several days.

4. Daily Slide Warm-up (First 5 Minutes of Class)
Learn art history / design
Sketch famous art or student art
Possible 10 points per day
Graded every other Friday
Designed to improve students drawing ability and speed
Used in Portfolio Review at the end of year

5. When a Student Is Not Finished With a Project:
The incomplete project will be graded
The grade will be recorded in Gradespeed.
Student has 3 to 5 days to finish it on their own.
The completed project will be re-graded.
The low grade will be totally replaced with the completed grade.

6. Prismacolors
You may want to purchase ‘Prismacolors’ to use at home. They are a high quality map pencil. We use Prismacolors on many of our art projects.
You can purchase them at Michael’s, Hobby Lobby, Aaron Brother’s and Jerry’s Artarama.

7. Contest – any work entered into contest must be started and almost complete to be a Klein Entry

8. Discipline Discuss conduct with student Suggest improvements

If no improvement and/or serious behavior infractions; sent to office
They determine days in detention or ISS or Alternative school
