Human Resource Managers (HR) Like other managers, they plan, organize, lead or direct, and evaluate or control HR focus is on the employees who enable a company to do business

HR managers also look at:
HR Planning Staffing Plans A staffing plan looks at the knowledge, skills and abilities of the team’s current staff, then compares that with the manager’s expectations about the knowledge, skills and abilities the team will need in the future. HR managers also look at: Need for additional help during busy times What people to hire When is best to do hiring What compensation packages to offer

Compensation benefits may include:
HR Planning Compensation Plans An individual's compensation is more than just the salary. Total compensation includes an employee's base salary and benefits plus any bonuses or incentives. Compensation benefits may include: Medical, Dental and vision care Company-sponsored Daycare Paid gym memberships Subsidized transportation or parking Financial bonuses or incentives

HR Planning Promotion Plans
Promotion plans help grow talent within the company, and reduce employee turn-over. Promotion plans help our employees and our managers know they can have a future with the company .

Organizing HR Managers organize work, including: Filing and tracking employee records Payroll and performance evaluations Work with organized labor, like unions

HR Managers lead efforts in:
Leading and Directing HR Managers lead efforts in: Recruiting and selecting new team members Planning and organizing events like job fairs Manage development of new employees Internal training and workshops Guide employees transitioning from a current role

Evaluating and Controlling
HR Managers help manage formal employee reviews. Reviews are completed and salary increases, bonuses, and other incentives are often based off of these evaluations.
