DIG (Diagnostic Improvement Group) Phase 1 Rollout Industrial Tier 4 Final Engines Purpose: Announcement of DIG Phase 1 Cal availability for all T4F except for QSF3.8. CEAF DIG (Diagnostic Improvement Group) Phase 1 Rollout for QSF3.8T4F (SCR Only) Engines Purpose: Announcement of QSF3.8 T4F engine launching production with DIG Phase 1. 6 Background DIG was released in phases Pre-Dig Cal Obsolescence
DIG 1 – Majority of changes that took reduced validation work and could be released sooner. DIG 2 – Only 11 changes that were fixes and items that took longer to validate. Phase 1 and 2 were released as separate DO options from current cals so that OEM’s could test the changes and adopt them into their production. Note that DIG Phase 1 DO’s will be updated to Phase 2. No new DO’s for phase 2. Pre-Dig Cal Obsolescence Due to the creation of parallel DO options, the old DO options will not receive the periodical updates and fixes that normally occur and therefore need to be obsoleted. On Jan obsolescence will happen and it will be required to change specs to the new DO options. Cummins Confidential

Change Control will be turned on by end of the week Any questions that are revised will show up in change history. 6.03 Release slated for Aug. Training needs? Linking old CARS record to Advisor 6 is not possible. We have a few options if someone wants to use Advisor 6 for an IQA record created before 2/29/2016. Insert Data Classification

If no engines have been ordered: The AE can work with their team to ensure COLS is not impacted and delete the IQA and generate a new one in Advisor 6 If the 1 engine has been ordered and no further work has been done and the AE wants to use Adv6 for testing and documenting: Create an Adv6 IQA and generate the IQA number from Adv6. Make a note in the new CARS record documenting the 1 engine and if no further impact can delete or submit the old IQA for closure.
