Though the magnitudes of human impacts are greater than they have ever been, so too are human abilities to model, predict, and manage current and future impacts.

More CO2 in atmosphere
Oceans will continue to become more acidic
More acidity makes it harder for corals to build skeletons
For shellfish to build the shells they need for protection
Corals are important because they provide home to other sea creatures

Higher temperatures = more and longer heat waves, oceans, weather patterns, snow and ice, and plants and animals
