Introduction to the new TUFMAN Reporting System Eighth Tuna Data Workshop (TDW-8) April 2014 SPC, Noumea, New Caledonia

2 TUFMAN Reporting Previous TUFMAN Reporting
TUFMAN embeds a reporting module in order to query your catch and effort database PROS Query live data CONS TUFMAN application must be installed Need to be connected to the internal network No access on tablets or Mac New Online OFP reporting application: TUFMAN Report Generate reports on your data, from any connected device

3 TUFMAN Reporting A first list of reports has been setup, based on the actual TUFMAN report list This system has been designed to easily setup new reports, on request. Let us know if you need any new reports We can generate new reports during this week of workshop

4 TUFMAN Reporting Access your TUFMAN data Secured web application
Like eRECAP, TUFMAN reporting will use the latest version of your TUFMAN data sent to SPC Secured web application You need a password to access your data So far, one password per country/organization. Later, each user will have its own login data

5 TUFMAN Reporting www.spc.int/ofp/tufmanreport/XX/app/
Replace XX by your country code Make sure you use a recent web browser (Chrome, Firefox) Use the login information provided by OFP team Login: tufman Password: [enter the password of your country/organization] You should see the TUFMAN Report main page If not, please ask for assistance

6 Each group contains several report sub groups

7 A click on a report group will display the list of sub groups
Report Selection Click on the report group again to go back to the list of report groups A click on a report group will display the list of sub groups

8 A click on Sub Report group will display the list of reports
Report Selection A click on a report will display it’s description and the list of parameters A click on Sub Report group will display the list of reports

9 Report parameters Optional Vs Mandatory Mandatory Optional
A mandatory field is circled in red, it has to be filled to allow the report to be generated An optional parameter left blank will not be used to generate the report Example: an optional year parameter not entered will generate a report with data for all the years Mandatory Optional

11 Report group by Not suitable for all reports
The group by allows user to generate the same report, with different levels of aggregation (aka data per ??) If the report uses group by, this field is mandatory, and must be picked from a list Example: Number of observer trip per

13 Report output The report data
The column titles. Click on one column title to sort the report on the selected column Then the total number of records and the export to csv button On top you can find the Sub Group / Report

14 Report output CSV Use for mapping Future enhancement
A report can be exported as csv, so you can use Excel to format the report before including it in a document Colley will have a session dedicated on formatting output Use for mapping Some reports will generate data to be used by MapInfo Maps can be generated directly from the application Future enhancement Export well formatted reports to be used directly for printing/publication

15 Report map Some report can also be generated as a map
Set the parameters the same way as a regular report, and click on Map Use snipping tool to export map to your report Embedded in Windows 7+ For XP users:

16 Report map Select data to pie displayed in the pies and click refresh
Adjust pie size (20 – 150%) Display a grid (1 / 5 / 10 / 20 degrees) The Map parameters Switch pie size type (Actual / Optimized / Same)

17 Report map Zoom in and out. Also can you scroll Legend Full screen
Wave over the legend to display it full
