Must be decided by the people in charge.

You cannot harm their economy so that everyone suffers. (ex: food, money, electricity, water, etc)

8. How does the American Revolution measure up to the class criteria?
Facts about the causes of the American Revolution:
British treated Am. colonists badly (many taxes; taxation without representation)
Boston Tea Party (when Am. merchants dumped cheap British tea into the harbor because it hurt their business) led to the Intolerable Acts (Britain closed trade for Boston, forced them to house soldiers, charged them more taxes and limited their economy)
The Am. tried to boycott and make peace before declaring their independence/war
Leaders of the Am. Revolution were mostly rich and well educated merchants and landowners
Only about 40-30% of American colonists wanted to break away from Britain. The rest did not want to break away or did not care. Many people moved to British-controlled Canada after America broke off from Britain.

10. Catholic Church’s Just War Criteria
Must be decided by the people in charge.
