3 Liquid Democracy e.V. (LIQD)
Think & Do Tank (non-profit) founded in 2009, 20 people “new concepts for more direct participation in democratic processes using digital tools and methods …” Consultancy, research, participation projects with online focus LIQD is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation/association, that is politically neutral and tries to foster direct participation and open discussion in society with the means of digital tools. It was founded in 2009 and while at the beginnign most of the work was done voluntarily we now have 21 people working for LIQD. We are an interdisciplinary team of project managers, administration,designer and developer. LIQD was founded in 2009 around the same time liquid feedback was developed. Adhocracy (A3): collaborative toolset for discussions, working on texts, polls and rating open code/source, collaborative coding (GitHub) Developing adhocracy mostly in projects dealing with citizen and youth participation or participation in companies New: adhocracy platform with neutral design for a lot of different (smaller) towns and organisations Fostering democracy, direct participation and open discussion in society Open source, Trying to develop a sustainable software, that can be useful for as many projects as possible and can also be used longterm We try and listen to the needs of towns and organisation in the development, afer conference in Basel this year we Focus more on map based applications Platform for cheap processes

People need to register to avoid trolling but only with a name (which could be fake) and an adress

digital and mobile participation toolbox to be embedded in web presence of youth organisations and public administration Integration of online and offline methods More Information about the project: OPIN platform available at: OPIN is an all-in-one digital and mobile participation toolbox, easily embedded in the web presence of youth organisations or public administrations. OPIN provides participation projects with a digital home. As key elements the project provides mobile participation and explores the integration of online and offline participation.  The OPIN e-participation platform is part of the EUth project ( ), a European-wide project with 11 partners from 8 European countries like the Danish board of Technology, aiming to improve digital youth participation" And by the way there is an open call for projects soon and if you are interested you can check with Katrine for more information. Platform for all participation processes (participatory budgeting, city planning etc.) in Berlin (state and districts) Crossmedia processes Embedding in berlin.de presence Meinberlin platform available at: One of our biggest projects in the field of citizen participation is a platform for all future citizen participation processes of the city of Berlin The platform and it’s differents kinds of processes were developed together wit the city of Berlin and its districts (group of about 10 people) The project started in 2013 after the and the platform went life in August 2015
