3. Message from Ms. C Hi Class!
My voice it getting better very slowly; I still have to rest it until it is back completely. I miss seeing you guys and gals every afternoon. I heard that Thursday and Friday went well. THANK YOU! Keep plugging away at your ISU books and Twelfth Night. I will be back as soon as I possibly can!

4. Today’s Agenda Hand in your second ISU Journal Entries
Must be typed and double spaced
Read Act 1 Scene 5 as a class
Assign characters to people
Scene Summaries
Read ISU novel and/or write your 3/5 journal
Homework: Continue to read your ISU novel and start writing your 3rd journal

5. Act 1 Scene 5 Read the scene out loud as a class
Assign a person for each character:
Maria
Feste
Lady Olivia
Malvolio
Sir Toby
Viola/Cesario

6. Scene Summaries Please QUICKLY make small groups of 3-4
In your groups you will do the following:
Write a brief summary (8-10 dot jots) of each scene in Act 1 (include character names and plot events)
Find 2-3 literary devices in each scene
identify the device and its effect on the scene
note the Act, Scene and Line numbers
ex: ( ) - means Act 1.Scene 2.Lines 34-36
Please hand in your work to the supply teacher

7. ISU Reading/Writing Time
Once your group is done, take out your novel and read silently.
If you are done your book you can work on your next journal.
The 3/5 Journal is due Tuesday May 19th
