There were no acts of violence:
Only two people died at Woodstock - one man from a heroin overdose and a teenager in a sleeping bag who was killed when a tractor ran over him. The driver was never traced. There have been four attempts to recreate the festival on different sites: 1979, 1989, 1994, and the disastrous 1999 festival, which was shut down amid riots and violence. Woodstock sent a message to the world that individuals could come together peacefully to celebrate peace and music.

Design Your Own Music Festival
1. What would you name your music festival? 2. How many days would it last? 3. Who would be in the line up? (Name at least 5 bands) 4. What kind of food vendors would you have? 5. What kind of activities would you offer besides the concerts? 6. Where would it take place? When? What month? 7. How much would tickets cost?
37
Ticket out the Door Which music festival sounds better? Woodstock or Bonnaroo? Why? Have you ever been to a music festival like these? If so, which one? And did you enjoy it? Why or why not? If you have never been to a festival like this, would you want to go? Why or why not?
