Plantations Plantations are long, artificially established forest, farm or estate, where crops are grown for sale Trees, cotton, coffee, tobacco, sugar cane, sisal, oil seeds, and rubber trees are examples of crops grown in plantations

Architecture Inside A wide center hall which leads to a staircase
Two parlors across from each other that are divided by a hall with four Corinthian columns and sliding mahogany doors

Architecture The other side of the center hall is Manning’s library and a large dining room in the rear Throughout the house are marble mantles and large plate glass mirrors

Furniture Most furniture was the original Duncan Phyfe furniture
47 boxes of Duncan Phyfe furniture was sent from Europe using the bill of lading Most of the furniture was made out of wood

Millford Today Open on the first Saturday of every month until the end of the year Admission is $15 per person (ages 16 and under are free) Guided tours are available 10:00am, 11:00am, 12:00 noon, and 1:00PM The gates will open at 9:30am and close at 3:00pm
