1. What are the parts of your solar system?
Click the planet and watch to find out! After you watch the video, answer the questions in your booklet.

2. What is special about your planet?
Click the planet Earth and read the information you see on the webpage. Answer the questions on the second page of your booklet.

3. What is the moon? Fill out the KWL sheet about the moon in your booklet. After you have completed the K(know) and W(want to know) sections, watch the video. When the video is over, complete the L(learned) section.

4. What is the importance of the sun?
Watch the video clip about the sun. Write about the sun in your booklet. Make sure to answer the questions below in your writing: What is the sun? How does the sun help us? Can we survive without the sun? Why or Why not? How can the sun hurt us?

5. The Air: Can you find the experiment?
Download the book below. Read the book and write down top most important facts about the air in your booklet. Look for the experiment in the book. Write down the materials we need for to complete it on bring to school reminder.

6. Space and the Weather: What do they have to do with each other?
Click on the weather below. Watch the video clip. * You may need to watch a couple of times to get all the information you need. Does space affect the weather? Explain your thinking with details that you learned in the video. Write your thoughts on the space and weather page.

Space stations and satellites are very important tools for scientist of all types. Watch the video and then write a list of reasons why they are so important.

8. Planets: Did you know… Click on the picture below. When the NASA Kid’s Club is open, click the purple 5. You will have a choice of 2 games. Click Go to the Head of the Solar System game. Read the questions and click on the planet you think will be the answer. You will have to use your schema about the sun to help you choose your planets. As you play, write down 10 facts that you think will shock others in the class. Write them on the planet fact sheet!

9. Did you know that you use some of the same tools as astronauts?
Click on the picture below. When the NASA Kid’s Club is open, click the blue 4. You will have a choice of 2 games. Click Search for Spinoffs game. Read the clues at the bottom and click on the objects you think came from tools the astronauts have used. After you play, draw pictures and label the items you discovered. Draw them on the astronaut toolbox sheet.
