After loosing to the Athenians at the battle of Marathon, Xerxes I (the great), head of the Persian Empire decided to attack Greece again.
Xerxes I led his infamous elite soldiers known as the 10,000 Immortals in the invasion at the narrow coastal pass of Thermopylae.

Greeks were once again vastly outnumbered but still managed to fight with such pride for 7 days!
