2. AutoFiling Reminder letters sent last week
Autofiling will resume next week
Will be performed monthly
If a user is skipped for a month, they will get a new reminder letter before they are autofiled again

3. E-mail Software upgrade
Recompiled dovecot in 64-bit mode
Removes some artificial limits on maximum users logging in at once

4. Outages Still sporadic slowdowns on diamond
Some symptoms fixed by 64-bit dovecot
Also problems due to inadequate swap space
Working on increasing swap available on all servers
3/4: garnet accounts moved to client/server that shouldn’t have
All moved back by the next day

5. Future outage
Moving power connections will require some downtimes of non-redundant systems:
Lyris (ecommunications.umn.edu)
Drop box for X.500 feeds
Not scheduled yet, but will be before 3/31

6. Demailization of garnet
Plan: keep garnet as interactive login server
Move to client/server
Terminal-based clients will use IMAP to access mailbox
Procmail users can use Sieve rules
May need separate solution for some uses

7. Demailization of garnet
Current user counts:
1523 garnet users
417 not using any garnet features
Moving off 60/day to client/server
648 logged in interactively (last 100 days)
407 use procmail to filter mail
223 have CGI scripts

15. Bits ‘n’ Bytes
M Keys: over 3,600 distributed (Peoplesoft cuts over Sunday 3/16)
Future possibilities: “autofiling” sent-mail folders; “autoemptying” trash folders
