What are the 3 major reasons why organisms need water? (15 points) To grow since an organism is 2/3 or more water. Reproduce—many organisms such as fish and frogs will spawn in water carry out other life functions----all organisms need water to do the required chemical reactions to maintain metabolism.

What is an aquifer and how do we use them? (15 points) Aquifers are the underground water sources. They can be used by drilling down into them which creates a well or they can be exposed in certain areas known an artesian well.

Why are wetlands important? (15 points) Wetlands provide habitat they control flooding can process some pollution.
