My husband is the SRO here at school and we have 5 kids, one grandson and another on the way.

4. 6th grade world history curriculum
We begin with Geography, Early Humans and the Agricultural Revolution
Then……Mesopotamia, Egypt, Israel, China, India, Ancient Greece, Rome/Roman Civilization

5. Grading policies Total points system
- For example: tests are worth more than homework assignments
Penalty for late work/ will not receive full credit. Grade will go down a letter grade every day it is late.
DO NOT LOSE YOUR COMP BOOK- it will be checked for a grade at the end of the nine weeks.

Links for certain assignments
Notes or assignments to print from home
Announcements- picture day, early dismissal day, study session, etc

7. iNow grade portal Importance of checking grades
Teachers grades updated weekly
Progress reports sent home- signature required if grade is C or below

8. Dress code Shorts/skirts must be fingertip length
NO low cut tops-undergarments should not be visible
Leggings are acceptable IF the top is finger tip length
Holes in jeans must be below finger tips
NO off shoulder tops/dresses/blouses

9. Supply list Notebook Paper Pens and pencils 2 sets of colored pencils
Composition notebook
Glue sticks- send packs of them as we use A LOT OF GLUE
Scissors
AGENDA is KEY to success! (writing down assignments for EVERY class EVERY day) The kids will write their HW and teachers will sign/stamp each agenda before they leave the classroom.

11. Locks and lockers Students have been assigned lockers
It is up to you and your child to rent a lock for $2
