1 x2VOL Service Tracking Tool in Naviance/Family Connection
Students can begin accumulating hours during the summer before their freshman year. An average of 40 hours per school year is recommended, with a cumulative total as indicated below: Class of 2018: 120 hours Class of 2019 and every class thereafter: 160 hours

4 Keep in mind before entering hours…
If you participate in a regular, ongoing activity, you may want to enter this activity in larger increments such as per year or semester. For example, if you volunteer at a food bank once a week, you can enter all of your hours for one school year at a time or one semester at a time. You can upload proof of service in the form of a service log, certificate, or letter. These documents must include: Your name Activity (with a description of the activity if it is not clear) Date of the activity or date range Number of hours Sponsor signature

Ask your school clubs if they will provide a certificate or log that you can upload for that organization at the end of the school year. Our club sponsors have been advised to only include service hours in their documentation for the service cord. Donations are not considered community service. You may enter a sponsor/supervisor’s address to have the hours verified electronically via . Some students have had issues with sponsors receiving s from x2VOL. Tell sponsor to look for from x2VOL. May need to check junk mail. It is the student’s responsibility to follow up with sponsor regarding verifying hours.

6 Adding Hours

7 Click “Create New” to start entering your service activities/personal projects.

8 Title your project and give a brief but clear description of activity– you may upload a service hours log or a certificate as proof.

9 If not uploading a file, add a contact who can verify your hours electronically and include their address. Let your contact know to expect an from x2VOL. If you are uploading a file, add contact name and a phone number NOT address. Some computers may have issues showing these labels. Go ahead and add as shown. This will still generate an to the contact if you added an .

10 Enter the date of the event and hours you want to claim
Enter the date of the event and hours you want to claim. The date may be the first day you started the activity if it is an ongoing activity. You may add a reflection about this event. If your hours are verified via , your sponsor will be able to see everything you enter on this page.

11 If you joined a group, you may assign your hours to a group goal
If you joined a group, you may assign your hours to a group goal. All hours whether related to a group goal or not may apply toward the Community Service Cord requirements.
