2. Introduction
In the first part of my presentation, I talked about BTS. This part will be about one particular song, and it’s theme. Keep in mind that there are plenty of theories about each song, and most of the time, certain things are up for anyone’s interpretation.

3. Attention getter
DNA is such a catchy song with a great beat. When I watched the teasers for the MV, I had the opening whistle stuck in my head. It was all I could hear, and made me whistle it too. I feel like everyone who’s heard it can relate.

4. Background info
BTS is a 7 member boy group from South Korea that debuted in 2013 under BigHit Entertainment
The members are (leader, oldest to youngest) RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook.
They have multiple names such as BTS, Bangtan Sonyeondan, Bangtan Boys, Bulletproof Boy Scouts and more recently Beyond the Scenes.
The fanbase’s name in A.R.M.Y.
DNA is the second song in the album Love Yourself: Her.

5. Opinion statement
I feel that DNA is one of the best songs I’ve listened to. I think that others can agree, seeing as people who’d never listened to BTS before loved it’s vibe and feel during their U.S. television debut at the AMA’s. Even talk show hosts, Jimmy Kimmel, James Corden, and Ellen DeGeneres, among others, we’re able to get into the beat.

According to RM, “’DNA’ is about the expression of a young passionate love…”

7. Stanza one I recognized you as soon as I saw you
As if we’ve called each other
The DNA in my blood is telling me
That it’s you who I’ve been looking for
These lines explain the feeling of love at first sight.
The idea that when you see someone for the first time, you just know they’re the one.

8. Stanza two Our encounter is a mathematical formula
The law of religion, the ways of the universe
The evidence of fate given to me
You are the origin of my dreams
Take it take it
My hand held out to you is destiny
This explains just how the love is justified, that it is literally the way the universe wanted us to be, and therefore it is.
This love was meant to be from the start, so you should be with me.

9. Stanza three Don’t worry love Because all of this is not a coincidence
We’re completely different baby
Because we’ve found our destiny
This means that meeting was not chance, but was meant to happen.
We’re different than any other couple, because we found each other.

10. Stanza four From the day the universe was formed Past infinite worlds
Probably in our past life and in our next lives
We’ll be together forever, DNA
Ever since the beginning, we were always planned to be together.
No matter what, we’re meant to be together in all our lives, past and future.

11. Stanza five Because all of this is not coincidence
Because we’ve found our destiny
DNA
This reinstates that This love isn’t chance, it’s destiny, it’s in our blood.

12. Stanza six I want it this love I want it real love
I’m only focusing on you
It pulls me harder
From the start, my DNA wants you
This is fate, I love us
Only we are true lovers
This explains the way you feel when you find someone, you want to give them all your attention.
I think it also means that since we were destined to be together, we are the only true lovers.

13. Stanza seven Every time I see her, I am amazed It’s so strange,
my breath keeps stopping
Is this the love that I’ve only heard about?
This stanza describes the feeling of love at first sight.
It’s heart stopping, breathtaking, and feels unreal.

14. Stanza eight Don’t look back Because we’ve found our destiny
Don’t regret it baby

Because we’re forever together
This stanza reassures that this was meant to be, so don’t focus on anything else.
Don’t think back to before us, because we’ll always be together

20. Conclusion
I think that DNA is the best song. Despite it being in Korean, with minimal English, it’s still a song that everyone can get into. It’s addictive whistle will be stuck in your head for days. And hey, there’s always captions on YouTube.
