Work performance at 2016 Solution of CAN IC burnt issue Investigation The conclusion from IC supplier: On-site troubleshooting and ESD test in plant: In-conductive paint coating。 Walking body voltage at paint coating area: ~1200V V (Spec: <1000V) Electrical field strength of working clothes in used states are the max 15KV observed (Spec: E < 10K V/m). Capture the waveform voltage from the failure truck. The peak voltage Conclusion: replaced IC TLE6250 to TJA Improved IC robustness. When finished the model roll, No customer complaint from BFDA plant.

7 Work performance at 2016 FC1117 troubleshooting Background
Checked 168 GTL trucks vehicle speed& engine speed with FC1117. When FC1117 came out, 4/5 trucks’ engine speed is 0 rpm, other 1/5 trucks’ engine speed is below 800rpm Investigation result The driver said most of GTL truck has added this main gate by themselves. We checked the another GTL truck that day in service station, they also added this main gate. Some driver added some other electronic equipment from battery for different use, this may add FC1117 recurrence risk. The right battery corroded. The wires installed at Battery + and – without authorization. Conclusion: Driver bad behavior(esp shut off without key off or doesn’t wait 100s before disconnect the battery)

Key work at 2017 ECM service troubleshooting training Background: Between Jan 2016 to Dec 2016, CE received 383 modules from BFCEC; 80% of returns analysis results are NTF;

Key work at 2017 ECM service troubleshooting training Training plan: CE ECM CPES team wrote a service troubleshooting guideline, push service stations to do the service work follow up the guideline to reduce the NTF rate.

Key work at 2017 NOx sensor service troubleshooting training Background: Problem Identification: about 50% NOx sensor return from DFCV and DCEC service station after analysis was TNF ,the resource fault code distribution show as below: Analysis: Spec not match between Conti and Cummins 大陆电子产品和康明斯的技术要求不匹配 Technical 技术问题 TNF Not fully correct 指导书不正确 System 系统问题 Service guide line 服务指导书问题 Can not cover all sides 指导书不完善 Service station do not follow the guide line 服务站未按照服务指导书操作

Key work at 2017 NOx sensor design improvement Background: For BFDA, there are 1769 pcs water ingress failure form 01/2015 to 05/2016. Failure rate on Round EGP is about 68.4%, while Square EGP is about 11.1%. About 35% vehicle, failure occurrence is twice or more. Air tight test on the harness branch point.

Key work at 2017 NOx sensor design improvement CAN network layout diagram Vehicle wiring harness have branch point and exposed to outdoor: Design improve methods: Push customer’s wire harness supplier to improve the sealing performance. Used bilateral heat shrinkable tube replace Unilateral heat shrinkable tube. 2. Cancel the branch point on the wire harness. Put 120ohm resistor in NOx sensor’s PCB. Reduce the water ingress risk. Together with Conti engineering team to evaluate the feasibility of this NOx sensor engineering change plan.
