2. How to use this Guide

This is your Quick Reference Guide (QRG) to system processes.
Use this guide to quickly reference the next step in a process.
This is not intended to give a in-depth walkthrough of the process.
For a detailed step by step explanation please refer to the related process documentation or training video.

3. Follow these steps to set up Sync Center upon first run.

Follow these steps to set up Sync Center upon first run.
Install the App:
Navigate to your store’s TBU Server\SyncCenter (ex. \\wil-tbu-01\synccenter)
Double-click MSSyncCenterClientSetup.MSI and allow app to install.
Click the icon on the Desktop to run.
Choose your store’s Toolkit Source: Note: Toolkits are available on your store’s TBU Server. (ex. \\wil-tbu-01\synccenter)
Click
Navigate to your store’s TBU Sync Center folder.
Click ‘Select Folder’. Sync Center will begin populating a list of Toolkits.
To choose a different Toolkit Source at a later time:
Click the current Toolkit folder path displayed in the top-left corner to select a different folder.
Click ‘Select Folder’.

4. Follow these steps to create a new toolkit using a blank USB drive.

Follow these steps to create a new toolkit using a blank USB drive.
Need to know:
The imaging process will begin up to 20 seconds after clicking Update Keys.
Toolkit data must be locally cached before writing begins.
This process can take up to 40 minutes on first run, but once cached will be faster during subsequent writes.
Plug one or many USB drives into the PC.
Select an Image name from the dropdown menu.
Use the ‘All’ dropdown selector to apply the same image to all USB drives.
Click ‘Update Keys’.
Click ‘OK’ on the confirmation prompt to begin imaging process.
Wait for process to complete.
Click ‘OK and Eject’ on the success prompt when imaging has completed to quickly eject all USB drives.

5. Update an Existing Toolkit

Follow these steps to receive the latest updates for an existing Toolkit.
Need to know:
Updating an existing drive on a PC with pre-cached Toolkit data will be considerably longer.
Delays will occur (up to 40mins) if updating from a PC without data locally cached.
Plug one or many USB drives into the PC. Sync Center will automatically choose a matching Toolkit name.
Verify the system-selected Toolkit matches the USB drive’s name.
Click ‘Update Keys’.
Click ‘OK’ on the confirmation prompt to begin imaging process.
Wait for process to complete.
Click ‘OK and Eject’ on the success prompt when imaging has completed to quickly eject all USB drives.
