9. Privacy Considerations
Be careful where you put your data.
Not all clouds are created equal.
If it matters where you data is physically located, negotiate ahead of time.
A good cloud provider will secure your data better than you can.
Often do security audits daily.
Usually run more secure protocols between nodes in data center.
Back can be complicated.
May need to backup via API’s and services rather than at the OS level.
Often not handled by cloud provider.
You may need to consider security of back-up, more than production.
Ultimately: trust, contract, and verify.
