Recognized as one of top 50 hospitals in nation
Penn State Medical Center/College of Medicine pair with the hospital
Improve treatment methods
Research
Provides financial support to patients and families
Committed to youth leadership and philanthropy

4. What is mini THON? Modified version of THON In-school activities
6 Hours
2-8 pm
March 3rd
In-school activities
Bubble Soccer, Mini golf course,
Zumba instructor,
inflatable obstacle course
Competitions- aux gym
Dancing- main gym
Guest Speakers
Line dance- every hour
Student Participants
Required to raise money- $50
Must attend full event and stay standing/dancing

6. Committee Responsibilities
Communicate with student and teacher advisors weekly
Monthly Meetings- First Wednesday of every month
Time management-Due Dates
Failing to meet deadlines will result in removal of position
Much more selective than last year
Only 20 people compared to 110 running the event
Attendance
3 strikes and you’re out

7. Committees Publicity (announcements, infomercials, flyers)
Entertainment (planning games/activities, music, establishing brackets, equipment)
Fundraising (sponsorships, making business relationships)
Concessions (collecting food donations, making relationships with food businesses)
