CONNECTION Started multiplication of fractions by building off knowledge of multiplication. Learn to shoot layups by putting together what you know about shooting, dribbling, and aiming. We will be building off what you know to start literary essays.

LINK Read the sample literary essays with our question in mind. Capture what you notice about the big parts of each essay and how they fit together.

MIDWORKSHOP Instead of just studying one essay at a time, it may help to put two together and compare. Ask, “What’s the same? What’s different?”
