Always up to date Latest productivity and security capabilities
Microsoft Inspire 9/20/2018 8:47 PM Always up to date Latest productivity and security capabilities Aligned servicing model and cadence Helps be compliant, today and tomorrow We can manage, deploy, and make sure a Microsoft 365 powered device is secure, but one of the most important things we do is make sure that customers are staying up to date. This is critical for the user, making sure they have all the latest features and that it is reliable, but it's also critical for security. I think we've all seen that one of the best things we can do is make sure that customers stay up to date not only on patches, but on getting new advanced mitigations as those become available on the platform. © Microsoft Corporation. As we have talked about, and hopefully folks saw this in the news, we have been working to align the deployment cadences across Office and Windows so that this becomes predictable for you and your customers. These things happen twice a year, roughly in the spring and the fall, and you can have a similar cadence around how you roll out new versions of Office, how you roll out new versions of Windows, and use this to help drive compliance for your customers. Let's show a quick look at what this would be inside of Intune
Let's show a quick look at what this would be inside of Intune. Here I'm deploying update rings for Windows 10. Our rough recommendation is that you actually keep 1 percent of the organization on Insiders Build so they get advanced look at what those features are, making sure that they don't have any problems for your organization. You want to tend to prefer some of the “geeks”, power users and IT personnel. Second thing you can do is as soon as a build becomes available, pilot it out to, say, 10 percent of your organization. It is about getting real-world feedback so that you know real employees are seeing real success working with these build as it rolls through deployment. The power of the cloud is about seeing that data. And then, finally, broadly deploy it when you're confident, based on data, that it really works for the organization. So we'll click into the broad deployment settings here.

And what we actually see is that I get a lot of control over which branch is being sent, when is it being installed, how am I taking advantage of delivery optimization so I don't overload my network? And this is exactly the kind of tools that you need in order to broadly deploy Windows 10 through an organization.
