Exam paper issued week beginning 11 January 2016
Students will then have 20 hours of lesson time to produce research and ideas for a piece of design work
During the 20 hours of preparation time pupils will choose from a range of design based questions, then produce research into the chosen theme which will be presented in a sketchbook. Students will be expected to develop their own original design and prepare to produce this as a final piece in the exam. They will have 10 hours to produce a final outcome (spread over two days)
Good attendance and punctuality is an essential as once the paper has been issued they will have exactly 20 hours of lesson time to meet the brief . Students should be working independently at home on developing responses to add to their sketch book. The art rooms will be open each evening from 3-4 for students to use.
