Software is used to slow down the speaker enough for their spoken words to be typed into a Notepad document. YouTube accurately converts the transcript into an accurate caption file. All captioning requests are loaded into a queue. Courses with deaf students are moved to the top of the queue. Emergency funds have also been secured to outsource captions that are needed immediately via Rev.com ($1/minute). Provides students employment opportunities and improves typing skills.
