Given to hospitals that reduce EUI by 10% from prior year baseline

Energy Champion
Given to a single facility leading the way in energy efficiency
Application Deadline: April 1, 2016
The new Energy Champion Award will be given to a single facility for leading the way in energy efficiency. Energy to Care Awards will continue to be awarded to hospitals that reduce energy use by 10 percent.
Some points to note as background about these awards:
Energy to Care: This award requires a peer review of basic facility data. Once the peer review is completed, the facility can use the online application process to submit their data. Any facility that has reduced EUI by 10 percent over the past year will receive an award.
Energy Champion: This online application is more involved than the Energy to Care. Instead of a peer review, this application requires a data review from a licensed professional engineer (PE). Once the PE review is completed, the facility can use the online application process to submit data. The application also requires four short essay questions explaining how the facility is leading the way in energy efficiency. Only one facility will be awarded the Energy Champion award each year.
Winners of both types of awards will be recognized at the ASHE Annual Conference.
