4 Case Study on EU genetic testing
Situation: The EU faces challenges in developing adequate standards for genetic testing while overcoming national, social, and linguistic differences. Challenges: The OECD report policy shows that a lack of laboratory regulation have raised concerns about adequate coverage of rare genetic disorders. Solutions/Conclusion: The development of European “platform” to maintain quality across the EU member states. Set up of a minimum standard for genetic testing laboratories.
