Learning Resources To underpin our high definition social and health care training TV programmes, ACC provide three levels of learning assessment that creates the whole course. There is flexibility for the learning co-ordinator to decide on the appropriate level for each of their learners. We call these the 3 E’s: Essential, Extension and Evidence. Level One: Essential Assessment – provides a test of knowledge and understanding once the learner has viewed the programme film segment of the course Level Two: Extension Assessment – provides an opportunity for reflective practice and discussion between the learner and the supervisor Level Three: Evidence Assessment – provides tools for the supervisor to observe learning in practice and to record the development areas to be carried through to the next supervision meeting

A blended approach to learning It is important to recognise that different staff will want to access learning in different ways, and will have varying learning styles. Therefore, ACC supports a blended learning approach: Online: ACC courses can be accessed anywhere & anytime with any internet enabled device. PLAN your organisations education requirements a day, week or up to a year in advance. UNDERTAKE any of the courses in your ACC library. REPORT on your staff’s learning records for internal audits and CQC requirements Group Learning: At every stage ACC promote conversation between the learner and their mentor, ensuring expertise is shared around the organisation. Group based learning allows learners to reflect as a group on how they are going to put their learning into practice Live to Air: A number of new courses are broadcast live on their first viewing date. Live to air offers care workers and managers the unprecedented opportunity to personally speak to the Best Practice expert and ask questions that are answered live on air
