Gateway Games: 2-1-1 Basketball Supplies Basketball and/or net (optional). Scoreboard – i.e. white erasable board, flipchart with markers or overhead projector. Data Reports: Report on Top 30 Referred Services for the previous year. Report on Top 30 Referred Agencies for the previous year.

Gateway Games: 2-1-1 Basketball Directions: Divide group into 2 teams. Have teams decide on a name. Acts as referee and score keeper to each team.

Gateway Games: 2-1-1 Basketball Directions: First half – teams take turns naming Top 30 referred services by the agency over the previous year. Second half - team takes turns naming Top 30 referred agencies by the agency over the previous year. Or just play one half as the entire game.

Gateway Games: 2-1-1 Basketball Scoring: 3 pts (3-point shot) – for Top 10 referred services or agencies. 2 pts (Regular basket) – for Top 11 to 20 referred services or agencies. 1 pt (Free throw shot) – for Top 21 to 30 referred services or agencies.

Gateway Games: 2-1-1 Basketball Scoring: 0 pt (Rim Shot) – for answers outside the top 30 referred services (agencies in 2nd round), but these services are in the database. 0 pt (Air ball) – completely wrong answer. 0 pts (Rebound) – did not give quite the right answer, but they were close so you give them a second chance at an answer. 0 pts (Shot Clock) – taking too long to answer.

Gateway Games: Website Word Search Supplies Ask attendees to bring laptops with access to the internet. If possible, provide computers/laptops with access to the internet. Create an Acrostic Word Search (example provided).

Website Word Search Directions – Individual Round:
Gateway Games: Website Word Search Directions – Individual Round: Hand out an Acrostic Word Search. Have the participants compete to answer the questions one at a time on the Acrostic utilizing the Online Searchable Resource Database.

Gateway Games: Website Word Search Scoring – Individual Round: Use key to verify correct answers. First participant to provide the correct answer wins each answer.

Gateway Games: Website Word Search Directions – Team Round: Hand out an Acrostic Word Search. Divide group into teams of two. Have team members work together to use the Online Searchable Resource Database to answer the questions on the Acrostic.

Gateway Games: 2-1-1 App Scavenger Hunt Supplies Ask attendees to bring a mobile device with access to the internet. Create an Acrostic Word Search (example provided).

Gateway Games: 2-1-1 App Scavenger Hunt Directions – Individual Round: Have a list of agencies for individuals to find on their mobile device. Give the name of an agency, and then have the participants find and map the agency on their mobile device. Play several rounds w/ different agency names.

Gateway Games: 2-1-1 App Scavenger Hunt Scoring – Individual Round: Score individuals - first to find and map the agency raises their hand (or brings device to presenter).

Gateway Games: 2-1-1 App Scavenger Hunt Directions – Team Round: Provide a list of services for a team to find on their mobile devices. Instruct teams to find services and add them to their favorites list on their mobile device. May have teams search for one service at a time or complete the whole Scavenger Hunt.

Gateway Games: 2-1-1 App Scavenger Hunt Scoring – Team Round: One Service at a Time - First team to bring their mobile devices to the presenter and verify the service is saved to their favorites then wins. Whole Scavenger Hunt List - First team to find all services on the list and verifies with the presenter then wins.

Gateway Games: 2-1-1 Family Feud Supplies A bell (for participants to ring). Data Reports: Top 10 Referred Services for the previous year. Top 5 Unmet Needs for the previous year.

Gateway Games: 2-1-1 Family Feud Supplies Family Feud game board Use white erasable board, flipchart with markers or overhead projector to write out game board and answers. Bring a poster board already completed with answers covered up until answered.

Gateway Games: 2-1-1 Family Feud Directions: Create two teams of 3-5 participants. Have teams decide on a family/group name. Run game just like Family Feud on TV. Presenter plays role of game show host (like Steve Harvey).

Gateway Games: 2-1-1 Family Feud Directions: Two participants, one from each team come forward to answer the survey question. The participant with the best answer gets to decide (allowed input from their team): Their team plays trying to get all the answers, or They pass to the other team.

Gateway Games: 2-1-1 Family Feud Directions: 1st Round, use the Top 10 Referred Services for the previous year for your survey answers. 2nd Round, use the Top 5 Unmet Needs for the previous year for the survey answers. Otherwise, play the 2nd Round same way as the first except you start off with a different team member.

2-1-1 Family Feud Scoring:
Gateway Games: 2-1-1 Family Feud Scoring: The team selected to answer questions tries to get all the correct answers to the survey. If they do, then they win the round and get 100 points. Incorrect answers = 1 strike against the team. After 3 strikes (incorrect answers), the other team gets a chance to give one of the remaining answers.

Gateway Games: 2-1-1 Family Feud Scoring: If the opposing team gives a correct remaining answer, then they get all the points. If the opposing team gets a strike (incorrect answer), then the first playing team wins all the accumulated points for that round. 2nd round is worth double points.
