Know Your Constituents
Only Catholic school in Southern Brazoria County Feeder parishes in Brazoria, Clute, Freeport, Lake Jackson, and Angleton School is seated in Richwood Three ‘upstart’ Christian schools in the area Develop a communications matrix to ensure consistent contact with each group

Parish Connections Meet with priests (bring pictures of students from the parish, school yearbook, etc. Conversation: How can we strengthen our relationship?) Donate auction items from the school to the parish fund raisers Host deanery meeting / Provide lunch Invite priests to visit/have lunch/ celebrate Mass/visit classrooms Students, families, and staff are visible in the parishes Invite Knights of Columbus to events Invite Catholic Daughters to events Baptism Bear Program

Parish Connections Advertise the school in parish bulletins
Announce registration/employment opportunities in bulletin With permission, display marketing materials and information in Family Life Centers Make the most of Catholic Schools Week

Participate in community fundraisers, contests, & events: Habitat for Humanity (Walk & Collection) Festival of Lights (Parade and information booth) Open our facility to City of Richwood for a community meeting of local city/county government officials

~Support Military Moms and Wives of Brazoria County ~Support local Pregnancy Help Center ~Support Salvation Army ~Support St. Vincent de Paul food bank collections ~Apply for grants from local industry( BASF/Dow/Olin)

Community-at-Large Participate in local organizations: Local Chamber of Commerce County-wide “Alliance” Participate in County Fair (Art/ Science) Contact local newspaper regarding curriculum/community- driven events: School-wide projects driven by STREAM curriculum ( 2 tied to grants) “Fill the bus” with supplies for Military Moms Veterans’ Day (Program & honor a veteran) **Press releases are a good thing!

“Star Party” Brisket Sale (3 times per year- volunteers from the Knights of Columbus) Host Summer Camp Host STREAM Lab Science Camp Host Dr. Suess Reading Camp Scouting Charter Fall Festival (family event) Mardi Gras Gala (adult event) Select Choir performs at local parishes, nursing homes, and the state capitol.

Community-at-Large Keep business local whenever possible.
Recognize supporters in weekly principal’s message. Invite local leaders/business reps as guest speakers at events Local District Attorney, Local judges, State Representative, Law Enforcement, chemists, engineers, Pastors/Deacons, etc. Cultivate relationships: Partner with local law enforcement. Invited annually to address teachers/staff about safety during “back to school” in-service. Deliver cookies/notes/ prayer cards to law enforcement, first responders, parishes, etc. Invite priests to visit. Donate auction items in the name of the school for entities’ fundraisers. Send THANK YOU notes to EVERYONE.
