Past Participle Verbs and Helping Verbs
You can use a helping verb such as have, has, or had with a past participle. It is another way to show something that has already happened. I have walked across a glacier before. Jennifer has walked across a glacier before.

A helping verb used with a past participle must agree with the subject of the sentence. Singular Plural I have hiked. You have hiked. She has hiked. We have hiked. They have hiked. Singular Plural I had hiked. You had hiked. She had hiked. We had hiked. They had hiked.
