What do we know? Its an elective course.
Students will have elective course profile Shy/conservative students may take the course It’s a drama course for 2nd graders. A syllabus for an 18 week course.

What do we know? 2hrs a week = 28hrs per semester
13 / 14 weeks to prepare for performance. 30 students per course. School teachers only. Lose 3 weeks for exams

How to evaluate these students? How to prepare for the performance? How to start?

Week 1 Explain 14 week schedule & grading system.
Explain casting positions: Producer, Director, Cast, Crew ( Props & stage design, costume, make up, lighting, music, musical talents & narrative choir / A cappella ) Decide performance location, style & date. Introduce drama & script ex: “The Phantom of the Opera” Homework: Prepare for casting

Week 2 Character casting by class vote. (Actors, hosts, vocals etc.)
Position casting by class vote. (Producer, director, etc.) Can challenge by class vote. (Every week) Group & leader discussions. (Assignments & delegation) Homework: Groups prepare accordingly

Week 3~4 Cast / Hosts (Practice line reading & re-arranging with lights & music) Crew (Decide stage design, props, costumes, make up etc.) Teacher assist accordingly (You tube clips or pictures) Group & leader discussions. (Assignments & delegation) Homework: Groups prepare accordingly

Week 5~6 Cast / Hosts practice scene 1 (Start adding small props, music & lighting) Crew focus scene 1 (Stage design, costume design & measurements, make up etc.) Group & leader discussions. (Assignments & delegation) Teacher record scene 1 (Week 6, last 10 min of class) Homework: Groups prepare accordingly

Cast / Hosts practice scene 1--2 (Add props & costume) Crew focus scene 2 (Stage design, costume design & measurements, make up) Group & leader discussions. (Assignments & delegation) Teacher record scene 2 ( Week 8, last 10 min of class) Homework. (Groups prepare accordingly)
