INTRODUCTION & BACKGROUND
Limpopo is the northern most Province of South Africa. It has a total area of square kilometres, taking up 10% of South Africa’s land area with a population of people (2016 Statistics South Africa report) . There is an increase of 6.79% of population as compared to 2011 ( Statistics South Africa report). The province shares international borders with three countries namely: Botswana to the west; Zimbabwe to the north; and Mozambique to the east. Area = square kilometres (10% of RSA land area) Capital city is Polokwane which lies right in the middle of the Province Population = (2016) – Black- 96.7%, White- 2,6%, Indian or Asian – 0.3% and Coloured – 0.3%. Languages spoken: Sepedi = 52.9%, Xitsonga = 24.0%, Tshivenda = 16.7%, Afrikaans = 2.3%, Other= 4.1%. The Province has 5 District Municipalities and 25 Local Municipalities- Capricorn (4 Local Municipalities – Blouberg, Lepelle-Nkumpi, Molemole and Polokwane) Mopani (5 Local Municipalities- Ba-Phalaborwa, Greater Giyani, Greater Letaba, Greater Tzaneen and Maruleng) Sekhukhune (4 Local Municipalities- Elias Motsoaledi, Ephraim Mogale, Fetakgomo/ Greater Tubatse and Makhuduthamaga) Waterberg (5 Local Municipalities- Belabela, Lephalale, Modimolle/ Mookgophong, Mogalakwena, and Thabazimbi) Vhembe (4 Local Municipalities- Makhado, Musina, Collins Chabane and Thulamela) DHA Offices in Limpopo are aligned to the 5 District Municipalities and 22 Local Municipalities All 22 Local and 5 District Municipal Stakeholder fora were formed and they are chaired by Speakers.

INTERVENTIONS TO ASSIST IN SMART ID CARD TARGET
Capricorn Traditional leaders to be requested to encourage the community to apply for the Smart ID Cards Stakeholder Forum Members to educate the community on the importance of applying for the Smart ID Cards Mobile Offices to distribute, collection of Smart ID Cards leaflets at Public areas, Shopping Centres, Taxi Ranks, Churches etc. Visit schools to inform and encourage learners 16 years and above to apply for their Smart ID Cards and collect them as soon as they receive the sms. Learners in school uniform are assisted first in the mornings for application of their smart ID Cards. Waterberg Reaching out to communities Community mobilization Information sharing Sekhukhune Honoring invitations from other stakeholders to present services rendered by DHA and encouraging public members to come and apply for Smart Id Cards . Promote awareness at Moutse and Masemolo local radio stations the communities are Invited to come and apply for Smart id cards The Centre managers of the malls allowed DHA to loud hail at the centers on pay day( social grants). Continuously invites officials from other institutions/departments to come and apply for Smart Id Card. Mopani Intensifying visits to communities e.g. Tribal Authorities, High schools and SASSA pay points to conduct awareness campaign. Loud hailing at shopping complexes with a view to encourage public members to apply Smart Id cards Distribution of pamphlets (requirements) for Smart Id Card applications.

INTERVENTIONS TO ASSIST IN SMART ID CARD TARGET
Vhembe Visit various school and encourage leaners and educators to apply for Smart identity cards. Visit various Health facilities and encourage health professionals to apply for their smart cards. Meet with managers of various Financial institutions (FNB, Standard bank and etc.) to seek their assistance in encouraging their clients and staff to apply for Smart identity cards Engage various faith based organization leaders ,traditional leaders, and community leaders to encourage their subjects and members to apply for smart identity cards.

INTERVENTIONS IDENTIFIED ON BIRTH REGISTRATION TARGET
Capricorn District Awareness campaign by visiting clinics, hospitals and traditional councils to encourage community and mothers to register their children within 30 days. Having exhibitions at Imbizos and use the opportunity to educate the public Mobile Offices to distribute 0 – 30 days birth registration leaflets at public areas e.g. shopping centres, taxi ranks, churches etc. Stakeholder Fora to keep on engaging the communities on 0 – 30 days birth registration Waterberg District Community and stakeholder engagement on birth registration within 30 days Sekhukhune District None Mopani District Intensifying visits to pre-natal clinics/ health centers and maternity wards to educate mothers in waiting about registration of birth within 30 days. MOBILE OFFICE INFORMATION
Mobile offices and services are being rendered redundant due to IS non-functionality. Basic services e.g. birth and death registration, enquiries on status of applications are unavailable in most of the mobile offices.
