The founding father’s role is certainly known and celebrated, but there is an equally important story from the founding mothers. While the men were off fighting the revolution and going off to Congress, the women defended the home, ran their husband’s businesses, took part in local government, and provided the wealth for their husbands (in the case of Martha Washington)
