1 BOM and BOM Comparison June 16, 2009

2 Log on to GETS For testing – open your browser, and enter the url “enginetracking-stg.cummins.com”. Enter your staging user name and password The Order Status page for Simpson will be displayed. Note the new navigation bar at the top of the page (circled above)

3 Access BOM From the Order Board Status page, roll your cursor over the Order Board button on the Navigation Bar. Select “BOM” from the drop down list

4 BOM Explosion Page The BOM Explosion page is used to view the content of a Shop Order for a given date

5 BOM Explosion Page Click the magnifying glass icon next to the “Select SO” field to display the list of available shop orders in a popup window. Click the SO whose content you wish to view. Click “Done” to close the window.

6 BOM Explosion Page Shop order content can vary by date.
If a spec change is made, the shop order content after the effective date for the change will be different than before the effective date. Select the date for which you want to view SO content. Default is the current date. After the SO and Date are selected, click “Show BOM” to display the content.

7 View Shop Order Content
Enter the level to which you want to see content For testing, you will only see option level; after SOP, you may see full content. Click Explode All to view content to the specified level To return to option level content, click “Implode All”

8 BOM Comparison To compare two BOMs, select “BOM Comparison” from the Order Board drop down.

9 BOM Comparison By clicking one of the radio buttons, you will be able to compare: Same SO on two different dates Two SOs on same date Two SOs on two different dates

10 Same SO on Two Dates Click the radio button labeled “Compare one SO on different dates”. Note second SO search field will disappear. Click the magnifying glass icon to display the list of all available shop orders. In the popup window, click the SO you want to view Click “Done” to close the popup window Enter the first and second dates for which you want to compare SO content. Click “View Report”

11 Same SO on Two Dates - Results
Under the first red divider (see blue arrow), the list of options added to the SO between the first date and second date is presented. Under the second red divider (see green arrow), the list of options removed (omitted) from the SO is presented.

12 Two SOs on Same Date Click the radio button labeled “Compare two SOs on same selected date.” Note second date field will disappear. Click the magnifying glass icon to display the list of all available shop orders. In the popup window, click the SO you want to view Click “Done” to close the popup window Repeat to select second SO Enter the date for which you want to compare SO content. Click “View Report”

13 Two SOs on Same Date - Results
Under the first red divider (see blue arrow) the options on SO that are NOT also in SO94202 are displayed. Under the second red divider (green arrow), the options on SO94202 that are NOT also on SO96069

14 Two SOs on Different Dates
Click the radio button labeled “Compare two SOs on different dates.” Click the magnifying glass icon to display the list of all available shop orders. In the popup window, click the SO you want to view Click “Done” to close the popup window Repeat to select second SO Enter the date for which you want to compare SO content. Repeat to select the second date Click “View Report”

15 Two SOs on Different Dates - Results
Under the first red divider (see blue arrow) the options on SO96069 on June 1 that are NOT also in SO94202 as of June 16. Under the second red divider (green arrow), the options on SO96069 on June 1 that are NOT also on SO94202 as of June 16.
