The Grand canyon become a national park in U.S army lieutenant Joseph started the Grand canyon . Although first afforded Federal protection in 1893 as a Forest Reserve and later as a National Monument, Grand Canyon did not achieve National Park status until 1919, three years after the creation of the National Park Service

3 How was the park formed? The Grand Canyon was mainly formed by erosive active of the Colorado river. the Colorado River was said to have originated somewhere around million years ago and its basin about 40 million years ago

4 What types of rock can be found in the Grand Canyon
The canyon is primarily made out of sedimentary rock and metamorphic rock and limestone, Sandston shale, and sandstone and more…

5 What special landforms or futures are in the Grand Canyon
The Grand Canyon rise over a mile above the river. And the Grand Canyon date back 1,800 million years. Also some of the rocks in the Grand canyon are 2000 million years old.

6 How is the Grand canyon currently changing?
The Grand Canyon is currently changing by how it is getting higher ever year this is due to erosion .

7 What environmental issues are affecting the Grand canyon
They are currently using the Grand Canyon as a flood ditch. This is affecting the Grand Canyon by it is putting animals in dagger. More than 300,000 gallons of water per second was being released from Lake Powell above the dam. enough water to fill New York City's Empire State Building in 20 minutes. This is just an experiment. The government is taking water from the Colorado river and putting it in the canyon. For millions of years, as colliding tectonic plates have pushed up the land.

8 How is technology used to help preserve and maintain the Grand Canyon
To maintain the Grand Canyon scientists are taking water from the Colorado river and putting it in the canyon. They are doing this because back in the 1900 the Colorado river pushed the canyon and formed it but the lost sand and they are hoping to get that back with this experiment.
