An IoT device can now store a private key so the device identity can be secured from the edge to the cloud while maintaining integrity.
General Availability of Apple FairPlay Streaming for Azure Media Services
With FairPlay, you can extend media to v-latest of Apple TV, by implementing a FairPlay Streaming solution on Media Services.
Microsoft obtains new cloud-centric ISO certification for Azure
This certification includes 37 existing controls in ISO/IEC and features 7 new controls not addressed in ISO/IEC
New P15 service for Azure SQL Database
Offers 4,000 DTUs and up to 1 TB storage at AU$23.41/hour (or AU$17,714.64/month).
General Availability of Azure AD authentication for Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Data Warehouse
You can acquire JWTs from AD to authenticate against SQL Databases and control database permissions using AD groups.

The NC- and NV-Series SKUs, packed with up to 24 CPU cores and 4 GPU cores, provide the fastest GPUs in the public cloud.
HTTP/2 for Akamai Azure CDN (Verizon Azure CDN will be later)
HTTP/2 is designed to optimise the user experience by supporting compression of headers, multiplexing, and prioritisation of resources.
Alerting and monitoring for Azure Backup
You can now configure notifications for all backup alerts and monitor backups for cloud and on-premises using a single dashboard.
Azure Web Apps Performance Counters for Visual Studio Application Insights
You can now monitor the performance counters for Web Apps using Application Insights. Requires the Aggregate Metrics NuGet package (pre-release).
Azure Portal preview support for Azure Search blob and table indexers
You can import then index data from Azure blob and table data sources (e.g. Microsoft Office, HTML, PDF) with a few clicks.

4. Announcements MySQL "In-App" Preview for Azure App Service
You can host your web app as side-by-side with your MySQL server for development and testing. Use ClearDB etc. for production.
General Availability of JSON support for Azure SQL Database
You can now query and store both relational and textual data as JSON using SQL Database.
HockeyApp Bridge App for Visual Studio Application Insights
You can now analyse your HockeyApp data using Analytics and export it to your own data store using Continuous Export.
General Availability of Azure SQL Data Warehouse in 4 additional regions
These additional regions include Australia Southeast offering an availability SLA of 99.9%.
