Feedback from trainers
«Active and engaged participants» «Very reserved and quiet participants» «Difficult to transfer knowledge from a Norwegian system; should rather do study visit to us» «In particular valued the link from gender theory to practical tools» «I think the course was useful for participants – trauma/complex traumas were new issues for most of them» «Eha has been fantastic – good preparations, communication, organisation». Si noe mer her….

Lessons learned – suggestions for the future
Facilitation important on site Can expertise translate from one context to another? Mutual exchange of knowledge and ‘best practices’ Research collaboration Exporting experts from Norway to Estonian trainings requires good planning and facilitation and planning from EWSU (both planning and facilitation on site) Even if there may be Norwegian experts who e.g. have more experience in developing a shelter system, is the experience and knowledge they have developed relevant for Estonian society? Should NKVTS have been more actively involved in planning? Perhaps focused more on using Estonian expertise? Assessing bilateral cooperation, NKVTS has delivevered some goods, rather than collaborated in a project. But perhaps this is ok? EWSU has defined the needs and the tools needed… The down side for NKVTS is that we have not been in touch with the project implementation as such, and do not have information on the reception of the trainers/trainings and how they have worked in the bigger picture of the project. NKVTS is a research centre – would another institution from NO be better as partner? The shelter secratariat, e.g. How could we involve more research/ers in this cooperation?
