4 What are some important things to consider when beginning to date?

5 The Three Tā€™s of Teen Dating
TIME - Be with that person as often as you can (within reason) TALK - Get to know as much as you can about that person TOGETHER- Be with that person in multiple different situations (around family, friends, in public, etc.)

6 In groups

7 Letā€™s talk about boundaries
Sometimes when we are ā€œtwitterpated,ā€ we make choices that we normally wouldnā€™t make. This is why it is so important to establish your boundaries BEFORE you start dating.

8 What is a boundary? Guidelines, rules, or limits that a person sets in order to protect him or herself. Think of them like laws - they are there to protect us, and keep us safe!

9 Why are boundaries important?
They allow us privacy and comfort in our relationships. They allow us to respect ourselves, and respect the rights of others They allow us to develop healthy, strong and meaningful relationships

10 How do we set boundaries?
Talk to parents and family members about dating expectations Determine what is important to you Decide now! What you will say How you will act What you will do ā€¦ā€¦..when faced with a decision to make in regards to your boundaries!

11 Boundaries Activity Using the worksheet provided, you will be establishing some dating boundaries/standards. In class, you will only be filling out the left hand column (You column). I will give you minutes in class. As homework (yes, homework), you will be asking your parents the same questions. If there are any items you donā€™t agree on, discuss them with one another. Your parent will need to sign the bottom of this assignment.

12 Love yourself!

13 Let me entertain you* I will split the class into four teams
Each person, on each team will get a turn When it is your turn, you will roll the dice According to what number is on your dice, that corresponds with an activity you must do points Do what the dice says: 10 pts If you want another option, you can roll again, and if you do that, you get 7 pts Your third roll is only worth 5 pts If you decide not to, you get 0 pts After everyone has gone, the team with the most points wins!! Let me entertain you*

14 If you roll a ... Sing ā€œIā€™m a little teapotā€ Opera style
You are an aerobics instructor and must lead the class in a 30 second routine Walk the ā€œcatwalkā€ around the room to ā€œDancing Queenā€ 4. Pretend you are the Crocodile Hunter, and you are being filmed on a hunt 5. Make up a rap about the end of school 6. Pull the ugliest face you have ever made and hold it for 10 seconds
