This Power Point has no guided notes to go along with it. Instead, it is an interactive presentation . The only materials you need for this section of the unit is a map of Italy (provided in the presentation), a menu and the story of Romulus and Remus (see me if you need a copy).

Climate
The Geography of Italy made traveling across land difficult, but assisted in making their civilization prosper.
One way they prospered was due to their climate...
Warm, dry summers and mild, rainy winters= wide variety of crops

12. Menu Activity Continued
Romans took a full day to prepare their meals. Therefore, by the time they hunted, collected or fished for their food and then prepared it... they typically only had time to eat once a day.
Do you think the poor in Rome would have access to all of these?
