Step 7: Fill a beaker ¾ full of water. Set the beaker on a hotplate and bring it to a boil using boiling chips. Once boiling, set the thermometer into the beaker of water and place it through a ring stand clip to hold the thermometer in place. A graph should appear with a line that slowly comes across the screen signifying that values are being recorded every few seconds. Step 9: When the Thermometer is finished taking readings, it will display a review graph. Press the ENTER key to exit this screen and return to the main screen. On the main screen press 6 and then the ENTER key again to record the thermometer readings in List 1 and List 2 of the calculator’s memory: the data is now stored. If no lists appear in the white “choose data import box”, click the Refresh Catalog link. Once the lists appear in this text box, left click on L1 and L2 to select your time vs. temperature recordings stored in the TI-84 memory and than click OK to import this data into Logger Pro.
