17 Group activity: Education Financial Jenny
Finding ELEMENT in our curriculum Preparation Jenny Self-Awareness Career Education Jenny Financial Once we know who is at Assessment Day, we will break people up into different groups. We’ll ensure that there’s representation of different campuses and type (full-time, adjunct) in each group. Instead of “Team 1” etc., name them by the topic/unit they’ll be focusing on? What are the topics, units, etc. that they’ll be focusing on? Self-Awareness: Emotional Intelligence, SQ

18 Finding ELEMENT Interpersonal communication in our curriculum
Group activity: Finding ELEMENT Interpersonal communication in our curriculum In your designated group, record the ways: In your designated group, record the ways: How you are already teaching interpersonal communication? How you’ve incorporated interpersonal communication into your classroom? How you’ve incorporated interpersonal communication into assessments? Are there any consistencies with how you facilitate? You believe you can easily add interpersonal communication into: Current course lessons Current lectures Current assignments Future lessons, lectures, assignments What ideas or topics did multiple people in your group think of?

19 Interpersonal Communication
Talk about infusing it into Co-Curricular “There’s a lot of ways we’re already doing it…. But for artifact usage: Personal Connection” – after they discuss their group work. Interpersonal Communication

20 Next Steps Interpersonal communication component needs to be Embedded throughout the course: Co-Curricular/GoBe Reflection prompts for 2 Personal Connection sessions need to be revised Final Story Project Rubric needs to be adjusted Blackboard space/shell needs to be updated to reflect changes Adjust Into to NSE Training Key opportunities to align Interpersonal Communication component with current curriculum need to be identified Team Needed: At least one person from assessment, one person from curricular, and one person from co-curricular Communication to all NSE Faculty regarding changes to the Interpersonal Communication component of the course
