Sample Description of the Current Situation
Palestinians continue to protest the Israel occupation of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip and still demand the establishment of a Palestinian state. At first their protests consisted solely of demonstrations and throwing rocks at Israeli troops. Lately the protests have turned more violent: Palestinians have been attacking Israeli soldiers with guns and other weapons and suicide bombers have been killing Israeli civilians inside Israel. In retaliation, Israel has put area of the West Bank and Gaza Strip under martial law, and Israeli troops have attacked settlements in an attempt to root out the organizers of the Palestinian bombers whom they call terrorists.
