6 Using Dual Enrollment Credits
Transferable to all other WA State public colleges and universities according to receiving institution’s guidelines Transfer to private and out-of-state schools cannot be guaranteed. Students should contact specific schools for policies.

7 College Admission University admissions looks at rigor of coursework, whether HS or community college College in the HS, AP and Running Start academic courses are comparable. College admissions requirements still must be met

10 Running Start Eligibility
Must be Junior or Senior Be able to succeed at college level courses (100 level or above) Take a placement test or by SBA score Some colleges require placement into ENG100, 101 or other If started as a Jr., eligible for 6 college quarters (not summer); Sr. 3 college quarters

11 Being a College Student
Running Start students are considered “regular” college students You are seen by the instructors as every other EVCC student. One important change from HS to CC is there is legally no parent communication allowed. Accelerated pace: One 5-credit college course=one full-year high school course; One 3-credit college course=one semester high school course
