Rules for RAGs
Make sure your name is not at the top of your final copy. If it is, come see me for white out.
At the top of your paper, write the codeword that I give you.
I will hand out papers to groups. You will not be reading your own paper.
On my signal, you will rotate papers and read the next one.
Once everyone in the group has read the set, each group is charged with the task of determining which paper is the “best.” You will have two minutes to do so. Focus on the rubric requirements.
One student in each group will be designated as the recorder or spokesperson. This student will read the winning paper and explains to the class what stood out for them to chose this paper.

This semester we are going to work on building a foundation of evidence that can apply to many topics.

Each week, I will be presenting you with a prompt/truism.
It will be your job to find a quote, notable person, and personal connection for each prompt.

This week, your prompt is going to be our expository prompt.
“A positive attitude is necessary for success.”
You need to RESEARCH and find a strong quote (with an author), a notable person (focus on historical figures), and a personal connection. THESE NEED TO BE DIFFERENT THAN WHAT YOU USED ON THE EXAM.
